All Washed Up is your opportunity to create something unique using materials found in abundance on local beaches. The event takes place on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 10 am to 4 pm at Friendship Park, in the heart of downtown Vermilion, at Liberty Avenue and Grand Street.
Sponsored by the Vermilion Arts Guild, a program of Main Street Vermilion, All Washed Up: Vermilion's 1st Driftwood Art Contest is a free event and open to everyone. All ages and abilities are invited to have fun creating something original to share.
What do you have to do? Get to the beach, start gathering driftwood and think about what you can make with it. Spring is a great time to "shop for driftwood" before the beaches are cleaned for summer visitors.
Teams are welcome. Work with friends, as a neighborhood, a family, a church, a company or a club. The more, the merrier.
Works of art will be displayed at Vermilion's Friendship Park on August 10th. Ribbons will be awarded in each category.
