The Vermilion Arts Guild will host Driftwood 101: How to Get Ready for ALL WASHED UP! Choose from eight free demo/workshops this summer that will show you how to turn all those sticks, chips and chunks of driftwood into something display worthy.
Conducted by Tim Balda and Tom Winiasz, each experienced wood artists, they’ll demonstrate how best to prepare driftwood and then work with it using basic tools found around the house. Once you've seen how it's done, you can get hands-on to create a simple make-and-take project. All tools, supplies and driftwood provided.
No registration necessary, perfect for all ages and free.
The workshop takes place at Main Street Vermilion at 685 Main Street in downtown Vermilion, Ohio on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 7 pm to 7:45 pm and 8 pm to 8:45 pm; Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 11 am to 11:45 am and 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm; Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 7 pm to 7:45 pm and 8 pm to 8:45 pm; and Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 11 am to 11:45 am and 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm.
