Borrower cards are issued free of charge to individuals who are Ohio residents or who pay property taxes. Companies, agencies and organizations which are located in Ohio are also eligible cardholders. To receive a card, you must apply in person and present proof of current address, such as a driver’s license or utility bill. The cardholder (individual or corporation), or parent or guardian for those under 18, is responsible for all use of the card. Lost or stolen cards should be reported to the library as soon as possible. There will be a charge for replacement of lost cards. Borrowers are expected to bring their card with them any time they wish to borrow materials and present their card to use equipment (including computers) and software in the building. If a cardholder does not have their card with them, materials may be checked out using a photo ID.
Educators from public, parochial and licensed child-care centers may apply for a Ritter Public Library Educator Card, which has different rules associated with it. Seventy-five items may be checked out on the Educator Card, and any item from Ritter Public Library is loaned for 30 days.
Teens ages 13-17 can now get a special card with no fees or fines. The card gives teens access to digital material including e-books, audiobooks, music, databases and streaming video platforms. Included are OverDrive, hoopla, Kanopy, Mango Languages, Lynda.com and more. This card does not allow internet access on library computers. Teens may ‘upgrade’ their card with a parent’s signature which will allow them to check out physical items and access the internet on library computers.

WAF is an all volunteer organization. The organization has no paid officers and uses all donations towards animal and environmental programs: direct rescue, educational programs and animal sanctuaries. Utilizing volunteerism, WAF has kept operating costs to a bare minimum while maximizing our ability to help animals.
WAF has members throughout the world and on every continent. Through our volunteer network, the World Animal Foundation attempts to make the world a more compassionate place for all animals - wild animals, companion animals, aquatic animals and farm animals. Through grass roots action and activism, WAF bridged the gap between animal and environmental issues. The Foundation has directly rescued thousands of animals and supports wildlife sanctuaries throughout the US. In addition, WAF engages in Trap-Neuter-Return of feral cats, animal adoptions, low cost spay-neuter programs and numerous animal concerns campaigns.
WAF has recruited members from around the globe to educate the public about environmental and animal issues. Our large and informative website acts as a one-stop information portal for people wishing to learn more about animals and the earth. Visitors can print dozens of free flyers and fact sheets and surf hundreds of articles regarding wildlife, endangered species, companion animals, aquatic animals and farm animals.
Membership in the organization is free. Donations are always appreciated and needed to carryout our crucial mission of helping animals and the planet.
