A Vigil To Stand Up For Racial Justice

The Vermilion United Church of Christ, Congregational Mission Committee is hosting “A Vigil To Stand Up For Racial Justice!” on Sunday, May 31st at 7 pm. “We must unite to stand up for our brothers and sisters that are dying by senseless violence,” stated the committee.

The event will take place on the front lawn of United Church of Christ Congregational, 990 State Street in Vermilion. Participants are asked to bring a poster, wear a mask and adhere to social distancing.

The building will be closed due to Covid. If you want or need a chair, bring your own. There is plenty of space to spread out on the front lawn, parking lot and across the street.

The vigil will last approximately half an hour. Guest speakers will speak. Donations will be collected to go to social justice groups.
