Harbor Town Animal Clinic is monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic very closely. At this point, the animal clinic is maintaining normal business hours and intends to remain available to provide the much needed care to patients. Of utmost importance is the health and safety of its staff, clients, patients, and the community.
As such, Harbor Town Animal Clinic has implemented the following protocol effective Monday, March 23.
When you arrive at our parking lot, please call the clinic at to let us know that you have arrived. Please tell the staff member your phone number and the make and model of the car you are driving. Someone will come to your car and transport your pet into the clinic for the exam. Please remain in your car. We will be using a clinic leash to transport your pet. For small pets and cats, please keep them in their carrier. At the conclusion of the exam, the doctor will call you and discuss the exam findings and/or treatment recommendations. At that time, an estimate of services can be provided as well. After all diagnostics and treatments have been administered, a staff member will call and take a credit card payment over the phone and return your pet to you. You may also provide more information regarding your pets condition or your concerns when you make the appointment.
Additionally, you may email the clinic at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to arriving for your appointment if you would like to add further information or address additional concerns.
For medication requests, refills, and food pick up:
Please call ahead with your request. If the item is available, we will arrange a time that is convenient for pick up. When you arrive at the clinic parking lot, please call the clinic and let us know that you have arrived. The transaction will be processed by credit card over the phone. Please let the staff member know the make and model of your car and they will bring the item to you.
We realize there may be exceptions to the above policies, such as extra anxious pets and end of life procedures.
We routinely clean and disinfect several times a day all year long. Exam rooms are cleaned between each appointment and our staff already have good habits of washing hands between patients. We are taking extra precautions and have increased the frequency of disinfection as well as our deep cleaning protocols. We have mandated that if any staff members are showing any symptoms that they stay home until they are cleared for work. We also respectfully request that if you or anyone you are in contact with are currently experiencing or have recently experienced any symptoms of respiratory illness, to schedule your appointment at a different time.
These are difficult times for everyone and we apologize for any inconvenience that these protocols may cause. We care deeply about you, your pets, and the community around us, and want to do everything we can to minimize the spread of the virus. We realize that this a rapidly changing situation and as such we may need to institute additional changes. Hopefully, this will only be a very temporary situation. While we feel that these measures are precautionary only, they are in the best interests of our staff, clients, patients, and community. Thank you for your understanding.
