Annual Chocolate Festival

Friends of Ritter Public Library's annual Chocolate Festival is Saturday, February 1 during Vermilion's Ice-A-Fair. The public is invited to sample delicious homemade treats for just 50 cents a taste, then vote for their favorite and help crown the new Chocolate Champion. The event, which is a fundraiser for the Friends, runs from 10 am to 1 pm and often sells out so don't be late!

If you'd like to compete for the title, find an entry form at Then prepare at least 4 dozen, sample-size servings and bring them - ready to serve - to the library, at 5680 Liberty Avenue, Saturday, February 1 between 9 and 9:30 am. You don't have to stay with your dish, but it's more fun if you do!

Not a baker? You can still volunteer that day and be part of the fun. Call Robin Felice at (440) 963-0051.

The Chocolate Festival is part of Vermilion's town-wide Ice-A-Fair, which features dozens of ice sculptures lining the streets downtown and ice carving demonstrations.
