Since the March 17th media announcement that Vermilion City Hall was closed to the public due to the virus, operations have been continued with few adjustments, according to Mayor Forthofer.
“The mayor and department heads work in their offices. Department staff has been relocated to work from home to minimize exposure. All department phone calls are returned within 24 hours. Building inspections are conducted, permits are issued, water issues are handled and utility bills are paid,” stated the mayor.
“The utility bills can be paid online, through auto deduct, or you can drop payments in the secure drop box outside the Utilities Department door where you previously paid in person,” said Mayor Forthofer.
The mayor stated the City looks forward to dealing with you in person again soon.
