Drop Ceiling Inventor Property Purchased By Development Company

A development company, DiGeronimo Companies, has purchased the 58 acre property and mansion on West Lake Road in Vermilion formerly owned by the drop ceiling inventor, Donald Brown. Brown, and his wife, died in a plane crash in 2010.

DiGeronimo Companies is a full-scope developer with projects in the retail, industrial, student housing, and mixed-use developments. The company is headquartered in Independence, Ohio.

The property sold for over $3.6 million. DiGeronimo Companies also purchased 11 other parcels around the property for a total of $772,000, according to the Erie County Auditor.

The “Waterford Estate” property features 100 rooms, two indooor pools, a marina, concrete pods connected by glass corridors, a helicopter pad and a wine grotto.
