Vermilion Local Schools, in collaboration with Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio, is now offering a school-based food pantry for students and their families. The School Pantry provides income eligible families with free, non-perishable food items on a designated day every month. There is no cost for the School Pantry, however, families must meet income eligibility guidelines and self-declare they are eligible to receive food.
The program will begin on February 20, 2020 and will continue throughout the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Be on the lookout for more details as the School Pantry program grows and develops.
Working together with parents and the community, Vermilion Local Schools hope to be a resource for families struggling with hunger.
