The Vermilion Arts Guild hosts seasonal shows featuring artwork that reflect the season. This year, the Arts Guild is hoping to bring back opening receptions to kick off each show. The Vermilion Arts Guild, a program of Main Street Vermilion, is a collective of local artists and craftsmen working together to provide opportunities that promote and identify Vermilion as an exciting art community.

Main Street Vermilion Arts Guild and Ritter Public Library are happy to announce the return of the Community Art Show, Friday, April 8 through Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the Ritter Public Library. Whether you’re a budding artist or a seasoned painter, you’re welcome to apply. This show is for wall-hung original art only and open to artists age 18 and older.

Vermilion's Community Music Association (VCMA) will start a Mixed Chorus on April 19th at 7:30 in Lakeview Baptist Church. The Mixed Chorus will be pen to any adult within driving distance. This chorus is without auditions, costs, or obligations. If you and others you know enjoy singing, this is for all of you.

The Christmas Holiday Art Show takes place Saturday, November 6 to Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Vermilion Arts Guild Gallery located at 685 Main Street in downtown Vermilion, Ohio. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Vermilion and Main Street Vermilion is working to bring back family friendly events and create new traditions. Join family, friends and neighbors as they gather to celebrate, explore the downtown and get into the holiday spirit. Main Street Vermilion is welcoming the return of familiar traditions and adding some fresh elements.

Join the Vermilion High School Jazz Band and Soundsation for a joint holiday concert on Sunday, December 12 at 6 pm at Vermilion First Assembly Church. The community is invited to this special event that will be sure to usher in the holiday spirit in song. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served.

On Sunday, November 28, 2021, Riddle Funeral Home will be sharing with the community the Annual “Tree of Remembrance Ceremony ”. The program will begin at 12:30 pm in Victory Park, located on the corner of Main and Ohio Streets in downtown Vermilion, Ohio. The event will be honoring family by remembering loved ones in a special tree decorating ceremony.

Brownhelm Christmas Tree Lighting & Caroling, hosted by Brownhelm Historical Association, takes place on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 5:45 pm to 7 pm at the Old Brownhelm School, 1940 North Ridge Road in Vermilion, Ohio. Join in an Old Fashioned Holiday Christmas Tree Lighting.

Vermilion Country Club's first annual Christmas Craft Fair takes place on December 12, 2021 from 11 am to 5 pm at 12210 West Lake Road in Vermilion, Ohio. This free event for the entire family features homemade crafts, Christmas gifts and more. Seeking vendors for the event.

March in the Woollybear Parade on October 10, 2021 in downtown Vermilion, Ohio. The Vermilion Chamber of Commerce will be awarding Woollybear Awards to parade units that follow the Woollybear theme criteria. The best theme units will win: 1st place $300, 2nd place $150 and 3rd place $50. Plaques and bragging rights will also be awarded for the year.

The 8th Annual Cause 4 Paws will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Pat O'Brien Chevrolet in Vermilion, Ohio from 9 am to 2 pm. A rain date is scheduled for the following Sunday, September 19th. This event and all proceeds will benefit Partners With Paws of Lorain County, Inc. as they financially assist over 25 animal rescue groups in and around Lorain County, Ohio. The event will feature a cruise-in, pet adoptions, music.

Vermilion E&R Church offers a free Kids' Clothing Boutique. The Kids' Clothing Boutique is open the second Tuesday of each month from 1 pm to 4 pm, and the fourth Tuesday of each month from 5 pm to 7 pm. Helping our community, the free Kid's Boutique offers free children's clothing.
