Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jon Husted, and Dr. Amy Acton, MD, MPH, provided the following sector opening dates established as part of the Responsible RestartOhio plan. Beginning Sunday, May 31, childcare providers in Ohio will be permitted to reopen.

Vermilion Boat Club is excited to open for outside dining this Friday per the governor's latest restaurant and bar mandate. Outside dining, carry-out, curbside pickup and delivery will be available from 5 pm to 8:30 pm. The Outside Bar will be open from 5 pm to closing.

Vermilion reSTART is helping local Vermilion businesses get back to business. The project is a collaboration between the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Vermilion. Volunteers started delivering reSTART bags to 100 Vermilion businesses.

Join Vermilion Business Connection via ZOOM for the May Vermilion Business Connection on Tuesday, May 19 at 9 am. The Vermilion Business Connection is a Main Street Vermilion program that provides a variety of opportunities for local business owners to learn.

Vermilion is beginning to reopen, including retail and service businesses - with dining, salons, massage businesses and more soon to follow. But don't expect grand reopenings or big celebrations. It's not business as usual. “It won't feel like that,” said Marilou Suszko, coordinator of the Vermilion Business Connection.

Lt. Governor Husted announced that sectors licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio, including massage therapy, acupuncture, cosmetic therapy will be permitted to reopen on May 15 with the implementation of proper safety measures.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the opening of Romp’s Dairy Dock had to be delayed. The owners now hope to open the business on May 14th. “At this time we are planning to open with a limited menu, limited staffing and limited hours."

Blind Dog Gym has moved to Vermilion, Ohio. Once the Governor gives the go ahead for gyms to open, Blind Dog will offer Vermilion residents personal training, small group training, fitness classes, yoga, boot camp classes, and strength and speed training.

Germans Villa will be teaming up with Tom Riccardi, owner of Homeworks General Contractors Inc., to distribute 100 meals to Grace's Kitchen in Vermilion, Ohio on Thursday.

Hamman's Bakery announces that they have decided to return to normal hours and business operations starting on Tuesday, May 5th at 6 am. The bakery will do everything it can to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for its customers and staff.

Rudy's Bar & Grill, in downtown Vermilion, will be reopening for carry-out Friday, May 1st. The kitchen will be open from 11 am to 7 pm for food orders Wednesday through Saturday. Rudy's Bar & Grill will close to restock, reorganize and clean Sunday through Tuesday.
