Most boaters in Vermilion know they’re required to have a U.S. Coast Guard-approved wearable life jacket on board for every person on their boat. But boating safety advocates recommend that all boaters and passengers not only have a life jacket, but wear it at all times while boating. Accidents on the water can happen.
Friends of Ritter is Ritter Public Library's official volunteer group. Their mission is to promote reading and to support the library. They manage the annual and the ongoing book sales and host community events. The board meets every first Tuesday of the month at 2 pm in the library. Guests are always welcome.
Brownhelm Historical Association's Cemetery Preservation Committee is working to restore the historical headstones in the Brownhelm Cemetery. Historical Brownhelm Cemetery, located at North Ridge and Sunnyside roads, is the resting place of early settlers and prominent residents of the area.
