Vermilion Sail & Power Squadron Postpones 2020 Change Of Watch

The Vermilion Sail and Power Squadron, serving all of Lorain County for over 75 years with safe boating classes and Vessel Safety Examinations, has postponed their 2020 Change of Watch due to the current situation in Ohio.

Commander Kerry McCullough, AP, has announced that they will be at the ready when the "Physical Distancing Orders" are lifted.

"We want people to still be social, just not in person, or within an extended dock pole of each other. Our award winning instructors and Vessel Examiners will be at the ready to assist in a safe and enjoyable boating season."

McCullough added, “We accept all water lovers into our small, but mighty squadron. Inland lake canoe paddlers, paddle boarders and kayakers as well. VSPS have an annual YAK THE CREEK open to all. Information can be found at our website https://www.usps.org/vermilion/ and also on our Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/vermilionsps/”.

You can request a Vessel Safety Examination on the website, and also sign up for classes.
