Vermilion Schools Cancel Packet Pickups

In light of Governor DeWine’s address to the State in which he ordered all restaurants and bars to close, Vermilion Local Schools reconsidered the pickup of packets for students in Preschool through grade 7. The pickup of the packets scheduled for Monday is now cancelled.

The Vermilion Local School District states the safety of all citizens must come first. They will do their best to provide as many resources as possible to students who attend the elementary and middle school. The leadership teams will be working for the next 5 to 7 days on alternative methods of instruction. When they have a solid plan, they will make announcements on the school's website and social media pages.

The Governor has stated that there is a possibility that schools will not return to session this year. State and Federal authorities will also be planning for that possibility and will likely have recommendations and/or requirements that Vermilion Local Schools must include in planning. The schools are working very hard and have the best interest of your children at heart. They will continue to revise the plan as necessary to comply with mandates that are given.
