Join in the annual Winter Days festival at the Vermilion River Reservation. Winter Days, hosted by Lorain County Metro Parks, takes place in January at Vermilion River Reservation, 51211 North Ridge Road, Vermilion, Ohio. Vermilion River Reservation’s ‘Fire & Ice Walk’ event takes place January 20, 2024 from 11 am to 3 pm. With the beautiful Vermilion River Valley as your backdrop, take a wintry walk in nature amongst cool ice sculptures and warm firepits! Enjoy the sights and sounds of ice carving demonstrations, relax and roast S’mores (while supplies last). Snowshoes will be available, weather permitting, for demonstration and walks on a first come, first served basis. Local food vendors will be selling lunchtime fare and the cozy and charming Carriage Barn will be open as an additional warming space. Admission is $4.00 per person (children 3 and under free). The Vermilion Arts Guild hosts seasonal shows featuring artwork that reflect the season. The Vermilion Arts Guild, a program of Main Street Vermilion, is a collective of local artists and craftsmen working together to provide opportunities that promote and identify Vermilion as an exciting art community. The Postcard Project features 15 big and beautiful, mural-sized recreations of vintage postcards that record local history and the nostalgic scenes that depict Vermilion as a long-time vacation destination.
